Happy 1st Birthday to our smart, hilarious, handsome, and very busy-busy boy! What an exciting year this has been. We have had our hands full with a cross country move, a ton of traveling, and a very active boy, and it has been the best year of our lives. We are so thankful God has entrusted us with this incredible boy who has turned our world upside-down and inside-out in the best way possible.
We celebrated Cruz's birthday in Shell Knob, Missouri {Tablerock Lake} with family. We had an absolute blast. Cruz was definitely wondering what was going on when the crowd of people started singing happy birthday but I think he liked being the center of attention. He didn't go as crazy on the cake as I thought he would. He carefully put his fingers in the cake and then in his mouth. After a few bites he was done with it and ready to move on. He took his 1st real steps {August 7th} when we were at the lake and has kept it going since then, although he still has a ways to go until he's really walking.
