2 Months!

2 months, 14lbs 4oz, 24in, and a ridiculously huge head:)

Cruz is such a happy boy and is definitely starting to show some personality, which has been a blast for us. He loves the bath, he loves to stand in our laps, he is fascinated with his mobile, and he is completely OBSESSED with "freddie the fan", (our ceiling fans... or any ceiling fan for that matter:). He is starting to coo, smile, laugh, and scream, typically at his little lamb mobile or freddie. Those two things crack him up for some reason and he can't seem to get enough of them. He is sleeping 7-9 hours at night, eating really well, and napping pretty well during the day. Don't get me wrong, things aren't always roses and rainbows. He definitely has his fussy times, but all in all he is such a sweet and joyful baby and the good times FAR outweigh the bad... and who wants to hear about bad times anyway?!?!

We had his first overnight stay at Poppy's house last weekend because Chase was out of town. He did great and actually slept 9 hours for the first time that night, so he didn't mind that we weren't home at all! I also had my first MOTS (Mothers of Tots) meeting last week and met a beautiful group of women. It's so nice to have some time to talk to and learn from different moms, hear what they're going through, how they dealt or are dealing with x,y, and z, and have some people who will be praying for me when I need it, which is quite often:).

We are getting comfortable taking him everywhere and are actually having our first date night tomorrow night (on his 2 month birthday!!). Mama is actually (kind of) ready to leave him so thank you Gamy and Pops for babysitting!! We also have a date to the pumpkin patch with Cruz's girlfriend, Evey, tomorrow (shhh don't tell her parents bc they definitely don't know they're dating!). It's kind of hilarious because the dad's are wondering what a 2 month old and a 4 month old are going to do at a pumpkin patch??? Clearly, this is a photo-op for the mamas:). But, we were thoughtful and planned it on a Saturday not to interfere with NFL football/fantasy football, so the dad's should be counting their blessings!

Here are some pics from the first 8 weeks of his life. Kind of crazy how quickly they change...
